Allu Arjun held a press meet today in response to Revanth Reddy’s speech in the Assembly.
While he refrained from naming either the Chief Minister or Revanth Reddy directly, he addressed certain allegations, labeling them as false and stating that they had put him in a difficult position emotionally.
The first point he raised was that he did not visit the boy, the victim of the accident, based on legal advice, as a case had been filed.
He also mentioned that he refrained from any celebrations as soon as he learned about the woman’s death and the boy’s critical condition.
However, the facts tell a different story. After the tragic incident, Allu Arjun traveled to Delhi for a success celebration and later participated in another success meet in Hyderabad. It was during this event that he famously forgot Revanth Reddy’s name.
Notably, Allu Arjun only distanced himself from success celebrations after the case was filed against him.
Furthermore, his behavior following his release from the legal entanglement raises questions.
Wearing an “Icon Star” shirt and participating in a live telecast seemed far from the demeanor of someone genuinely affected by the tragedy.
Even during today’s press meet, his body language and tone failed to reflect any genuine emotional remorse. Though he tried to give a pause to convey his low point, that didn't look genuine.
The most shocking aspect of his press meet was his reliance on pre-written notes. True emotion does not require preparation.
By reading from a piece of paper, he signaled that his statements were calculated rather than heartfelt. If he had been genuinely emotional, he would have spoken naturally and directly from the heart.
Overall, holding this press meet was a poor decision for Allu Arjun. It highlighted his lack of skill in handling press interactions and public speeches. Worse still, several statements he made during the press meet appear to be factually inaccurate.
For instance, as mentioned above, Allu Arjun claimed that he refrained from visiting the boy in the hospital because his lawyers advised against it due to the legal case. However, this case was filed only later, not immediately after the incident.
He could have visited the boy and offered support when he first heard about the tragedy but instead chose to attend a success meet in Delhi. His current explanation seems like a convenient excuse.
Allu Arjun’s attempt to address the controversy through a press meet has backfired. His words, actions, and demeanor have failed to convey he is genuinely feeling guilty.
