It was only two days ago that YSR Congress party general secretary and MP V Vijay Sai Reddy wrote to Central Bureau of Investigation seeking expedition of investigation into the alleged bank fraud by Ind-Barath Thermal Power Ltd (IBTPL) promoted by rebel YSR Congress party MP Kanumuru Raghu Ramakrishna Raju.
On Saturday, it was the turn of the rebel MP to lodge a counter complaint with the CBI seeking speeding up of the probe into the murder of former minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy, uncle of party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
In his letter, he expressed apprehension that the accused in the murder case might be eliminated so that the real culprits behind the murder could escape, as had happened in the murder of former minister Paritala Ravindra.
Raju also sought protection for the accused who were lodged in the jail and the witnesses in the case, who are out of the jail, since there is a threat to their lives.
He reminded that one of the accused – Dastagiri, who was the former driver of Viveka, had disclosed the names of Kadapa MP Y S Avinash Reddy and his father Y S Bhaskar Reddy.
The rebel MP also brought to the notice of the CBI that an amount of Rs 40 crore had changed hands as supari for the murder which had taken place due to property disputes.
