Everybody knows Andhra Jyothy daily and ABN-Andhra Jyothy channel promoted by Vemuri Radhakrishna are an out-and-out trumpets of Telugu Desam Party.
The media house has been going overboard in covering the recent vandalism allegedly by the YSR Congress party workers on the TDP offices and leaders in retaliation to the abusive language used by TDP spokesman Kommareddy Pattabhi against chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Radhakrishna, in fact, dedicated his entire Sunday column Kothapaluku on defending Pattabhi’s filthy comment, besides condemning the attacks by the YSRC cadres, and the arrest of Pattabhi by the police.
The media house gave a huge coverage to TDP president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s deeksha at the party office and created a scene as if sky has fallen on the earth.
And on Monday, ABN-Andhra Jyothy has gone a step further in giving a huge hype to Naidu’s visit to New Delhi to lodge a complaint with President of India Ramnath Kovind against the Jagan government and the state police.
The channel has sought to give an impression that Naidu had virtually shaken the national capital with his visit. The headlines given by the channel surprised everybody.
“Simhamla Delhi lo adugu pettina Babu,” (Naidu entered Delhi like a wounded lion) says one headline.
Another headline says: “Ugra Roopamtho Rashtrapathi Bhavan ku cherukunna Chandrababu..” (Chandrababu reached Rashtrapathi Bhavan with aggressive looks). It went on to say: “Rashtrapathi ni kalisina Chandrababu, Aata Modalaindi (Naidu met the President; the real game has begun).
The channel also screamed: “Amaravati Rajadhani Emaindi? AP lo paristhithi pai Rashtrapathi serious” (What happened to capital Amaravati? The President is serious about the situation in AP) and “AP lo palanapai Rashtrapathi serious; Rajakeeyam maaranundaa?” (The President is serious over the governance in AP. Changes in AP politics in the offing?).
Well, that is how the yellow channel created a big hungama over Naidu’s visit. What happened there was a mere submission of representation to the President of India. Rest is all imagination by ABN!
