9 Andhra Ministers to Visit Singapore for 'Training'!

A delegation of nine Andhra Pradesh ministers will undertake a week-long visit to Singapore from April 21 to 27 as part of a training programme aimed at enhancing governance and administrative capabilities.

The delegation includes Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana, Agriculture Minister K Atchannaidu, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, Roads & Buildings Minister B C Janardhan Reddy, Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar, Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad, and Irrigation Minister Nimmala Rama Naidu.

The ministerial delegation will be accompanied by senior officials from the state Planning Department.

The training programme is designed to improve skills in areas such as economic development, governance, and public service delivery. Readmore!

Each day of the programme will focus on a specific theme, including national priorities, coordination between public representatives and government departments, crisis management, digital governance, economic growth, political responsibility, and public trust.

Upon completion, the ministers are expected to act as lead trainers for elected representatives and officials in Andhra Pradesh.

The initiative is part of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s flagship “Swarna Andhra 2047” vision.

However, there has been criticism that the visit is more of a pleasure trip during the summer, as most of the ministers are experienced leaders with a fair understanding of administrative matters.

There is also talk that this may be only the first batch of ministers visiting Singapore.

“In the second phase, some more ministers may go on a similar tour in the name of training,” sources said.
