'800' Trailer: Cricket, politics, emotion!

'800', the sports biography of the legendary bowler Muttiah Muralitharan, seems to be a complete package - emotion, sport, and politics.

Its trailer, unveiled today in the presence of 'God of Cricket' Sachin Tendulkar by Movie Train Motion Pictures, is a winner.

Director MS Sripathy leaves no issue untouched.

Right from the civil war of Sri Lanka, the riots witnessed by Muralitharan as a child, the racism he faced throughout his life, and the political controversies that attempted to shatter his will, everything seems to have been included in the script with sincerity. Readmore!

The visuals are good. Cricket matches involving Australia and Sri Lanka can excite sports lovers.

If you are a cricket lover, you would know how much the "chucking" row engaged experts and commoners alike more than two decades ago.

Muralitharan's career was in the doldrums because of the controversy. '800' seems to portray how the entire saga affected the bowler mentally and emotionally.

Nassar's voice will be heard prominently. Mahima Nambiar will be seen as Muralitharan's wife in the movie.

To be released in multiple languages in October, the film has music by Ghibran. Senior Tollywood producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad owns the theatrical rights to the all-India release of '800'.
