YSRC gave more seats to Kapus, than NDA allies

The ruling YSR Congress party on Friday claimed that it has given more seats to Kapu community in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, compared to the NDA alliance partners – Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

In a statement, the YSRCP claimed that it has demonstrated a significant commitment to the Kapu community, surpassing the combined efforts of all three major parties of NDA.

Despite the Janasena Party's (JSP) affiliation with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Kapus were not allocated the expected number of seats.

The following chart provides a breakdown of the distribution of seats to Kapu leaders by each party: Readmore!

YSRCP:

Members of Legislative Assembly (MLA): 31

Members of Parliament (MP): 05

NDA

This distribution underscores the YSRCP's prioritization of Kapu representation within the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh, it said.
