'Yevam', starring Chandini Chowdary, Vasishta Simha, Bharat Raj, and Aashu Reddy, is set to be released on June 14th.
At the film's pre-release event, actor Vishwak Sen was all praise for the passion shown by the entire team.
He lauded Navdeep, one of the producers of 'Yevam', for encouraging new talents at C-Space.
The 'Gaami' actor said that the film's technical team has two important females in its ranks - Keertana Sesh (background music) and Srujana Adusumilli (editing).
"It feels good when talented women have been platformed. We need more and more women to enter the film industry," the actor said.
Director Sandeep Raj, known for 'Colour Photo', said that 'Yevam' is a unique thriller that has been made for men.
"Although you are seeing a woman on the poster, the film is targeted for the male audience. The interval gives a cinematic high. The climax is another thrilling high point. The director's thought process impressed me. He has dealt with the theme of gender equality. The music is right on the money. Chandini has shown variations in this film," he added.
'Yevam' director Prakash Dantuluri said that even the songs in the film narrate a story.
"The title 'Yevam' is unusual. A rap conveys the intent behind the title. There is also the Oggu Katha touch," he added.
The Oggu Katha performance on the stage at the event was a major highlight. Vishwak Sen applauded the performance.
The film promotes the folk singing culture in a unique way.
