The YCP has made a surprising decision. The party office sent a letter to the editors of various TV channels, requesting that only specific leaders from a list provided by the party be invited for TV debates.
This list includes Rajya Sabha members, MLAs, MLCs, and 12 other individuals. Surprisingly, the name of YCP's national representative, K. Ravichandra Reddy, is missing from the list.
Recently, Ravichandra Reddy made controversial comments about Vijaya Sai Reddy and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Sakshi Channel.
Specifically, he criticized Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, blaming his behavior for the party's electoral losses, which angered Sajjala. Ravichandra Reddy has since repeated these remarks on multiple occasions.
In light of this, discussions within the party suggest that Ravichandra Reddy should no longer be allowed to represent YCP in TV debates. A new list was prepared, effectively sidelining him.
Once again, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has demonstrated his influence by successfully orchestrating a plan to prevent Ravichandra Reddy from appearing on TV after his criticisms.
If Sajjala believed someone was at fault, an explanation could have been sought, but he chose to handle the situation swiftly. Interestingly, such swift action is rarely taken when Jagan is criticized.
Sajjala’s ability to silence the party’s national representative suggests he may wield more power than Jagan within the party.
However, Sajjala should be aware that if Ravichandra Reddy continues to speak out against YCP members, silencing him may not be so easy.
