According to a survey, the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is poised to secure the majority of seats in Andhra Pradesh in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
Andhra Pradesh has a total of 25 Lok Sabha seats, and the Matrize Times Now-Matrize NC Survey predicts that the YSRCP will win 19 seats, leaving the remaining six seats for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-Jana Sena alliance.
On the other hand, the survey suggests that neither the Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), nor other parties are expected to secure any seats this time.
In terms of vote share, the YSRCP is projected to receive over 47 percent of the votes, with the TDP-Jana Sena alliance following closely with over 44 percent.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the YSRCP secured 22 seats, while the TDP managed to secure only three seats in Andhra Pradesh.
The survey also indicates that 38 percent of the state's population is highly satisfied with Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, while 26 percent express moderate satisfaction. Conversely, 34 percent of the population is extremely dissatisfied.
