World Famous Lover is Not Arjun Reddy: KSR

Producer KS Rama Rao says that “World Famous Lover” is not an extension of “Arjun Reddy”.

“The hero has the same intense feelings of love and sincerity as we had seen in Arjun Reddy but the protagonist in this film is more matured and it has quite a different story. A unique point is going to be revealed,” he said.

“World Famous Lover” stars Vijay Deverakonda and has four heroines – Raashi Khanna, Isabelle, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Catherine Tresa. After “Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju”, this is his second collaboration with director Kranthi Madhav.

“I love romantic stories. I watch all the films and observe today’s youth behavior. When Kranthi Madhav narrated me this beautiful story, I was certain that this perfectly suits Vijay Deverakonda who has immense craze among the youth. And the title was director’s idea,” he continued explaining.  Readmore!

Producer KS Rama Rao declares that the film is for 2020 generation of youth.

“This is completely targeted for today’s youth,” he said.

Rama Rao had produced many blockbusters with megastar Chiranjeevi in ’80s and the ’90s.

“Chiranjeevi, director Kodandarami Reddy and I are still thick friends. We used to live together like family members. We had that bonding back then and he still treats me as I good friend. With that affectionate association, he had asked Ram Charan to do a film for my banner,” Rama Rao said.

He is humble enough to admit that all the name that he had won as a star producer was the result of his long association with the megastar.

“First credit for success and craze should always be given to the hero. Whatever craze that we got was the result of our association with the megastar,” he said.

Back then, he had produced most of his movies based on popular novels. Why did he stop doing this now?

“I have stopped reading now and also the quality of novels are a few. Plus, directors of this generation write stories on their own and write their dialogues. So, there is no need to search for novels,” he concluded.

Revealing more details about upcoming FNCC in Vizag, he said that the Vizag complex will also have a film academy.

“Acting guru Satyanand will head the academy. It will give a huge boost to the talent of the Uttarandhra region and the Vizag complex will be as sprawling as of Hyderabad,” he said.

He also said the industry bigwigs will meet Chief Minister YS Jagan shortly.
