With Fear Of Life Threat, Can Raju Contest By-Poll?

YSR Congress rebel MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju had said in Delhi that he is facing life threat from his own party leadership.

He said he had left Hyderabad and reached Delhi only to save himself as he has to fight the election battle and prove Jagan Mohan Reddy’s misrule.

He also said that he could not attend the CID enquiry in Mangalagiri because of the life threat besides his health issues.

The question is if Raghurama Krishnam Raju fears threat to his life in Hyderabad or Mangalagiri, how can he contest the by-election to Narasapur Lok Sabha constituency? Readmore!

The MP claims that he would quit his Lok Sabha membership after the Parliament session in February and go for a by-election to prove Jagan’s misrule and his (Raju) revolt against Jagan.

If there is a by-election and if Raju is contesting, he needs to go for campaign during which period, he needs to meet people, conduct roadshows and address public meetings.

With fear of life threat, how can he do all this, if one goes by his own statements on the criminal records of his own YSR Congress leadership.

He cited some of the cases, going out of the way as usual, and expressed fears and said that he had sought greater protection from the Central government, with which he would go for a by-election.
