With Bail Petition Pending, Court Allows Reddy's Foreign Tour

Even as the petition seeking cancellation of bail for YSR Congress MP V Vijayasai Reddy is being heard, the CBI court had granted permission to visit some countries.

The court is hearing a petition by Narasapuram MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju seeking cancellation of the bail of Vijayasai Reddy.

He alleged that Vijayasai Reddy, being an MP, was influencing the witnesses in the CBI and ED cases and had violated the bail conditions.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju had also filed a similar petition seeking cancellation of chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on the same charges.

The CBI court had merged both the petitions and posted the case for final hearing on September 15.

Meanwhile, the CBI court had granted permission to Vijayasai Reddy for a brief foreign tour, despite the petition being heard and posted for September 15.

Vijayasai Reddy is scheduled to visit Dubai, Bali, Maldives and other countries to study on coastal development.

The court granted him permission to tour these countries for a period of two weeks before October this year.

The court also directed Vijayasai Reddy to submit two guarantors each paying Rs 5 lakh to the court, till he returns.
