The next cabinet meeting of Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been scheduled to be held on October 10, ahead of Dasara festival, raising a lot of speculations over the implementation of pending welfare schemes announced before the elections.
While Naidu announced that the three free gas cylinders scheme would be rolled out on Deepavali day, the cabinet is expected to take a decision on announcement of a couple of other welfare schemes as promised before the elections.
Sources said Naidu might announce the implementation of free travel scheme for women in RTC buses with effect from Dasara festival. Similarly, another scheme – crediting Rs 1500 per month into the accounts of poor eligible women under “Adabidda Nidhi” might also be approved by the cabinet.
The third scheme – Tallikin Vandanam – a revamped form of the Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Amma Vodi scheme – under which each woman would be credited Rs 20,000 per year for sending their children to schools, might also get the cabinet nod.
The Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, which is another form of Rythu Bharosa, is also likely to get approval from the cabinet. This is likely to be implemented along wit PM KISAN Yojana of the Centre in the next couple of months, sources said.
