Will Naidu, Reddy names fetch votes for BRS?

It has been nearly ten years since the BRS has been ruling Telangana State. After the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and the formation of Telangana State in 2014, the BRS came to power twice in the Assembly polls held in 2014 and 2018.

As a ruling party for 10 years, the BRS is expected to seek votes based on its performance during the last decade. However, the BRS seems to be seeking votes by invoking "Telangana sentiment."

The BRS is facing a tough challenge from Congress and BJP in the upcoming Assembly polls.

To counter A Revanth Reddy-led Congress and G Kishan Reddy-led BJP, the BRS is invoking "Telangana sentiment" by mentioning the names of Andhra leaders and former AP Chief Ministers, N Chandrababu Naidu and N Kiran Kumar Reddy. Readmore!

In all the meetings addressed by top BRS leaders, such as T Harish Rao and K T Rama Rao, the names of Chandrababu and Kiran Kumar Reddy are being referred to without fail.

They say Revanth's 'guru' is Chandrababu Naidu, and Kishan Reddy's 'guru' is Kiran Kumar Reddy. If Telangana voters elect these parties in the upcoming Assembly polls, Telangana will once again suffer, as Chandrababu Naidu and Kiran Kumar Reddy will rule Telangana through their 'shisyas' Revanth and Kishan Reddy.

Harish and KTR ask Telangana voters to be vigilant against Chandrababu and Kiran Kumar Reddy, who are anti-Telangana to the core, and to prevent Telangana from going into their hands again.

It remains to be seen whether the BRS could reap dividends in the upcoming Assembly polls by invoking the names of Naidu and Reddy.
