Will commit suicide for Dalit Bandhu: Mothkupalli

Former minister Mothkupalli Narasimhulu, who recently defected from Bharatiya Janata Party and joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, has challenged that he would commit suicide if Dalit Bandhu, the flagship programme of the state government is not implemented all over the state in toto.

“I will hang myself to death at Yadagirigutta, if the KCR government does not implement Dalit Bandhu scheme all over the state 100 per cent. I trust in the chief minister’s words and I see a lot of sincerity in him,” Mothkupalli said, while interacting with media on Sunday.

He said KCR had told him that he would implement the Dalit Bandhu scheme 100 per cent and he was confident that the scheme would cover all the Dalit families.

He wondered why the Congress and the BJP were stalling the implementation of the scheme. Readmore!

Mothkupalli said the Dalit Bandhu scheme would give a lot of confidence to the Scheduled Castes, who had been witnessing discrimination and undergoing trauma for several decades.

“Even now, they are being meted out humiliation in the Telangana villages,” he said.

He said the successive Congress governments in the past had never thought of any schemes for the uplift of the Dalits.

“For the first time, KCR government has taken up the programmes, which are unprecedented, for the welfare of Dalits,” he said.
