Jagan Mohan Reddy and other top leaders seem to believe that appointing regional coordinators, district presidents, and other representatives is sufficient.
However, membership registration is essential for building a strong party foundation at the grassroots level.
It’s unfortunate that Jagan and his close advisors lack the focus to induct supporters at the local level and hold meetings. This raises questions about how the party intends to strengthen its structure.
If YCP’s strategy is merely to oppose the government without reinforcing its base, it could be a costly miscalculation.
After a resounding defeat, the leadership has had ample time to reflect on its shortcomings.
Leaders with direct experience in grassroots politics would understand how to build a robust party structure.
Relying on advisors without this experience may not lead to effective strategies. To establish a sound foundation, YSRCP should prioritize membership registration.
