Power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan has taken a break from his shooting schedules and toured different parts of the state like Kurnool, Amaravati and Tadepalligudem in West Godavari in the last few days to sustain his political image and give an impression that he is very serious about politics as well.
But one person who was conspicuous by missing in Pawan Kalyan’s public appearances in these places was his right hand and close confidant Nadendla Manohar, former assembly speaker, who had been playing a key role in the party activities before and after the assembly elections.
Enquiries with the Jana Sena Party leaders revealed that Nadendla had not been keeping well for quite some time and had informed Pawan well in advance about his inability to attend the latter’s public meetings in various places.
But sources said there is a different reason for Nadendla skipping Pawan’s meetings. The former Speaker is keeping good health, but has been deliberately avoiding the meetings as he was upset with the boss.
Reason: Nadendla is not happy with the decision of the power star to get back into films. He apparently told Pawan that his return to films would send a wrong signal to the party cadre in particular and people in general, as it would show the non-seriousness of Pawan towards politics.
“You cannot ride two boats at a time. Running a political party is no easy task and one has to dedicate one’s full time to it, like what TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is doing. Despite losing the elections so badly, he has not given up and is continuing to fight against the YSRC government,” Nadendla seems to have pointed out to Pawan.
But with the power star ignoring Nadend’s advice, the latter is learnt to have decided to keep away from Jana Sena Party activities at least for now.
