Why gap between Ramoji and KCR widened?

A cold war is brewing between media baron, Eenadu group chairman Ramoji Rao and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Both are settling scores against each other through their media organisations.

While Eenadu is writing negative stories about KCR's pet project Kaleshwaram irrigation project, KCR's mouthpiece Namasthe Telangana is countering it by dubbing Eenadu and Ramoji as 'anti-Telangana'.

But when went wrong between them all of a sudden, when they were enjoying cordial relations ever since the formation of Telangana State and KCR becoming CM in June 2014. Readmore!

Political and media circles are abuzz with speculations that the delay on the part of KCR's government in the allotment of 500 acres of land in Hyderabad city outskirts for construction of Ramoji's dream project "Om City" led to tussle between Ramoji and KCR.

Ramoji submitted proposals to KCR seeking land allotment in 2015.

Revenue department officials also identified suitable land abetting Ramoji Film City and the file has been sent to KCR for approval.

But KCR has kept the file pending for the last four years.

Despite repeated attempts by Ramoji to secure KCR's approval, the land allotment has been kept pending.

Ramoji reportedly expressed ire at KCR for not taking a decision on land allotment even after four years and keeping the file pending without citing any reason.

Ramoji is learnt to have come to a conclusion that KCR would not heed to his request if he continues to adopt 'soft approach' towards TRS government.

For that reason, he started 'negative campaign' on KCR's pet schemes.

KCR, who remained silent on Ramoji all these years, took serious view of Eenadu's negative campaign against Kaleshwaram and started counter attack on Ramoji through his media outlets Namasthe Telangana, Telangana Today and T News.

Unless a 'compromise' is reached between Ramoji and KCR, the land allotment to Ramoji Om City would not see the light of the day in the near future.
