Who's that 'big leader' to face troubles this year?

Swamy Swaroopanandendra of Sarada Peetham in Visakhapatnam, who conducted Ugadi celebrations at his ashram on Tuesday, made several interesting comments on the present political situation in the country in general and Telugu states in particular.

Releasing the Panchangam (almanac) of the Telugu New Year Plava, Swaroopanandendra predicted that the people would overcome all the difficulties they have been facing for the last two years – Vikaari and Sarvari, in the form of financial crisis and Coronavirus pandemic.

He said though the stars were not favourable to the Telugu states, both the chief ministers – Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh and K Chandrasekahr Rao of Telangana would overcome difficulties as their star position was very good.

Known for his pro-Jagan Mohan Reddy stand all these days, the Sarada Peetham seer that the Andhra Pradesh government would successfully tide over the financial problems due to able leadership of Jagan Mohan Reddy. Readmore!

However, the Swamy made an interesting prediction.

He said “a big leader is going to face a lot of troubles this year.” This led to a discussion in the political circles as to who this “big leader” is, as Swaroopanandendra has not mentioned whether this leader is from South or North; or from Andhra or a national leader.

A section of media has predicted that Swaroopanandendra must be referring to Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, as the YSR Congress government led by Jagan Mohan Reddy is making all out efforts to send him to jail in Amaravati land scam. If Naidu is thrown behind bars, it will be a big shock for the TDP.

Another version is that the Swamiji might have predicted about the troubles to Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, as there are chances of the BJP losing elections in majority states and the financial crisis would worsen under his regime.

In any case, it is just a wild guess on the Swamiji’s prediction unless something really earth-shaking happens to any big leader in the state or the Centre!
