Who will face first arrest, if Jagan returns to power?

At every meeting in the last few months, YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been threatening that he would show a real “cinema” to his political detractors in the Telugu Desam Party-led coalition government, once he returns to power in the next elections in 2029.

Jagan has been saying that he would not let go any of the TDP and Jana Sena Party leaders and IAS and IPS officers, if he is voted back to power; and that he would punish each of them, even if they hide beyond seven oceans.

He even launched a “Digital Book” to record the misdeeds and atrocities of the coalition leaders and officials, warning that they would have to face the music once he becomes the CM again.

Now, the curious question is who will be the first target of Jagan, if he returns to power. Many would think it would definitely be TDP president and present chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Readmore!

But on Sunday, YSRCP leader Lakshmi Parvathi has sparked political controversy by predicting that TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh would be the first person to be arrested if Jagan Mohan Reddy returns to power.

Speaking to the media, Lakshmi Parvathi alleged that the so-called “Red Book governance” associated with Lokesh would ultimately turn against him and he would have to pay a penalty for targeting the YSRCP leaders.

She claimed she would personally complain to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about what she described as lawlessness and political vendetta in Andhra Pradesh, urging him not to shield “corrupt elements.”

She further accused the TDP of indulging in diversionary politics by proposing statues of NTR while, according to her, betraying his legacy during his lifetime. Challenging Naidu, she demanded that he secure the Bharat Ratna for NTR if he truly respected him.
