Soon after the Central Industrial Security Force authorities took the miscreant who made an attempt on the life of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy into custody at the Visakhapatnam airport and handed him over to the Visakhapatnam police, investigations began into the credentials of the accused.
What was revealed initially was that the assaulter’s name is Janipalli Srinivasa Rao (30), son of Tata Rao, a resident of Taniyalapalli village near Amalapuram in East Godavari district.
He has been working as a chef in Fusion Foods Restaurant in Visakhapatnam airport for the last one year.
Since Fusion Foods Restaurant is a popular restaurant chain owned by Tottempudi Harsha Vardhan, who is learnt to have affiliations with the Telugu Desam Party, the YSRC leaders prima facie suspected that Srinivas was also a TDP activist and therefore, the attack could be the handiwork of the TDP leaders.
Subsequently, another talk surfaced in the social media. According to this talk, Srinivas is a close follower of Jana Sena Party leader Pundaresh from Mummidivaram and is a diehard fan of party president and power star Pawan Kalyan. However, this talk, somehow, disappeared from the social media circles within minutes.
It remains to be seen which party Srinivas would belong to, by the time the investigation is completed.
