What is Vallabhaneni Vamsi up to?

Telugu Desam Party legislator from Gannavaram Vallabhaneni Vamsi is creating sleepless nights to party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu these days, keeping the latter guessing on his political moves.

On Friday, Vamsi sprang a surprise by meeting YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at the latter’s residence at Tadepalli.

He was taken to Jagan by information minister Perni Nani and civil supplies minister Kodali Nani.

This has given rise to speculations as to whether Vamsi is joining the YSRC. He has been facing quite a few cases in Gannavaram and probably under pressure to take shelter in the ruling party. Readmore!

Vamsi is closer to Kodali Nani and both have produced films like NTR-starrer “Adhurs” in the past. May be Kodali Nani is prevailing upon Vamsi to join the BJP.

This is not the first time that Vamsi had met Jagan after the latter became the chief minister. In July, too, the TDP MLA met Jagan in the assembly chambers and spent some time.

He later claimed that he had met the chief minister to represent on release of Godavari water from Polavaram right canal to the upland areas of Gannavaram constituency as part of Pattiseema project.

Surprisingly, for the last two days, Vamsi has also been seen along with Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Rajya Sabha member Y S Chowdary alias Sujana Chowdary.

He went all the way to Guntur to meet Chowdary, who had been in the TDP till June this year.

On Friday, Vamsi along with another TDP MLA Karanam Balaram had a meeting with Sujana Chowdary. Now, this has led to another talk as to whether they would be joining the BJP.

In any case, the developments have created yet another headache for Naidu, who is already behaving strangely after losing power!
