Watch: Weapons Ready... Is YSRCP Ready for Battle?

Time seems to be slowly turning in favour of the YSR Congress Party. Nearly two years after losing power, the opposition is yet to launch a full-scale attack on the NDA coalition government.

Ironically, it is the government itself that is handing over powerful weapons to YSRCP in the form of clear failures, policy flip-flops and controversial decisions.

The ruling coalition appears nervous, relying more on publicity and slogans than real governance.

Promises remain unfulfilled, key schemes are missing, and mistakes are piling up. If used properly, these failures can become political “brahmastras” for the opposition. Readmore!

The big question, however, is whether YSRCP is ready to strike.

Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has only recently begun increasing political activity, holding weekly meetings with cadre.

While this is a positive sign, many feel the pace is still slow and the attack lacks sharp focus. Political observers say YSRCP must move faster before public anger fades.

Issues like the government’s failed attempt to shift medical colleges to the PPP mode, confusion over land policies, unfulfilled welfare promises, land deals in Visakhapatnam, rising debts and poor governance are all available ammunition. But the opposition is yet to fire decisively.

For now, the weapons are ready. The battlefield is set. Whether YSRCP can turn this moment into a comeback or let the opportunity slip; remains to be seen.
