Leading distributor Sunil of Asian Films says stubborn attitude of some filmmakers is the reason for the indiscipline in the industry.
Every producer wants holiday date but none plan their movie in advance. This week we had seen five releases jamming the theaters.
“What is the hurry? Collections were affected with crammed releases,” Sunil observes.
What is the solution? “Film chamber should be given power to streamline the releases. Earlier we had a committee but some murkhulu scrapped it,” he lamented.
Now we are soon going to old style and streamline all the movie releases, Sunil adds.
Mahesh Babu in collaboration with Sunil’s Asian Movies has ventured into multiplex business and their first AMB Cinemas multiplex is now talk of the town.
“My father has long association with Superstar Krishna garu. Madam (Namrata) approached us for this venture. We will soon be launching AMB multiplexes in Bangalore, Chennai and Cochin,” he shares the information about his association with Mahesh Babu.
Sunil also tells that they would not venture into Andhra Pradesh as it is highly competitive market and has many players there.
Asian Cinemas has also collaborated with Allu Arjun and Allu Aravind to launch a big mall cum multiplex in Ameerpet.
