Watch: Assembly witness ruckus over abuse of Marshall

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Friday witnessed pandemonium over TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh remarks against Chief Marshall and other Assembly security staff on the previous day.

The Assembly played the video footage of the TDP leaders clash with the Marshalls, where the opposition leaders tried to gate-crash into the Assembly.

The ruling YSR Congress leaders took strong exception to the TDP leaders abusive language against the Marshalls and demanded that the Speaker take disciplinary action against both Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh.

Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy took strong exception to the abusive remarks of Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh to the Marshalls and the government employees.

Several of the ruling party MLAs raised slogans seeking disciplinary action against Chandrababu Naidu and his son as the speaker remained silent trying to assess the situation.

At one point, Minister K Kanna Babu, read out the rule position of the Assembly security and said that the rules were framed by Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, when they were the Speakers of the Assembly.

He said that the members were not allowed to hold any rallies in the premises of the Assembly, carry placards or banners or flexes or explosives or harmful weapons including sticks.

Minister for Legislative Assembly, Buggana Rajendranath, said that the TDP leaders have manhandled the security personnel which was highly condemnable.

He also pointed out that the Leader of Opposition was permitted to enter the Assembly from the Gate II and not Gate I and wondered why Naidu violated the rule.

Rajendranath alleged that the Marshalls were injured in the attack by the TDP leaders. The Marshalls were physically attacked, he said and regretted that the TDP leaders have not realised their mistake and regretting it.

The Legislative Affairs Minister sought stern action against the TDP leaders for attack on the Marshalls and condemn such an act of aggression by the TDP leaders.
