Vundavalli 'hopes' TDP Will Bounce Back!

Former Congress MP from Rajahmundry and self-styled intellectual Vundavalli Arun Kumar has finally exposed his leaning towards Telugu Desam Party headed by former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

In an interview to a news channel, Vundavalli said Jagan might be a smart chief minister in luring the people with his Navaratnalu welfare schemes.

“But it is only a temporary phenomenon. It is certain that they would vote for development-oriented politics in the coming years,” he said.

The former MP said the strategy of giving money and rice to the people every month won’t do good for the state’s economy. Readmore!

“People, too, want employment opportunities, not these doles. There should be money flow in the market and capital expenditure should go up,” he said.

He said Jagan might be distributing money indiscriminately in the name of schemes.

“But it is like a bubble and one day, this bubble will burst. Jagan is a genius. He might manage even that situation. But he cannot continue to delay payment of salaries and pensions in his eagerness to continue schemes,” he said.

Vundavalli said the ruling YSR Congress might not feel it has conquered the state by winning panchayat elections.

“They are based on local dynamics, like influence of the candidates, money and other local conditions. That does not mean, people have voted for the YSRC en masse,” he said.

He also dismissed the argument that Chandrababu Naidu would fade out gradually.

“In politics, winning and losing are very common. So, there is no surprise if Naidu can bounce back again,” he said.
