The teaser of Vishwambhara, a highly anticipated film produced by UV Company, has sparked controversy and attracted significant trolling.
Two main criticisms have emerged.
Firstly, the quality of the VFX has been widely mocked. Secondly, there have been accusations of copying scenes, particularly from Hollywood films. Neither the producers nor Megastar Chiranjeevi anticipated this backlash, prompting a focus on damage control.
Currently, Megastar is recovering from severe body aches caused by chikungunya and has taken some time off to rest. However, after receiving the negative feedback on the teaser, it appears the VFX work is now under review.
From the outset, there were discussions between Megastar and the team regarding the VFX quality. Now, with the trolling in full force, the responsibility has shifted to Chiranjeevi, given his extensive experience in the industry. All eyes are on his response to the situation.
As for the accusations of "inspiration" from Hollywood, there’s little that can be done at this stage. Some argue that if the content resonates with audiences, its source may not be a major issue.
Nonetheless, with the release delayed, there might be an opportunity for the team to make improvements. Whether they will take advantage of this time remains to be seen.
