Vemireddy is also upset with party?

The frequent alterations in the list of candidates for the upcoming elections by YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy have sparked unrest within the party.

Some members are openly expressing their displeasure, while others have chosen to exit the party in search of alternative options. Certain individuals are adopting non-cooperation tactics to exert pressure on the party leadership.

The latest addition to the ranks of disgruntled YSRCP leaders is reportedly Rajya Sabha member Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy.

Although he was named as the party candidate for the Nellore Lok Sabha seat long ago, he was reluctant to accept the nomination due to a lack of rapport with local MLA P Anil Kumar Yadav. Readmore!

Consequently, Vemireddy exerted pressure on Jagan to remove Anil Kumar Yadav from Nellore. As a result, Jagan shifted Anil Kumar Yadav to the Narasaraopet Lok Sabha constituency, providing much-needed relief to other YSRC leaders, including Vemireddy.

While Vemireddy accepted his choice for the Nellore Lok Sabha seat, he hoped that the Nellore (city) seat would be allocated to one of his preferred candidates, including his wife Vemireddy Prashanti, ensuring smooth sailing in the Lok Sabha elections.

To his surprise, Jagan awarded the party ticket for the Nellore (city) seat to Mohd Khaleel, the deputy Mayor of Nellore corporation. This decision left Vemireddy upset, as Khaleel is a close follower of Anil Kumar Yadav.

Immediately after his name was announced, Khaleel expressed gratitude to Anil and met with Jagan alongside the latter.

Disheartened by these developments, Vemireddy went incognito and stayed in New Delhi.

Reportedly, he turned off his phones and remained inaccessible to the party leadership. Jagan has now initiated efforts once again to pacify Vemireddy.
