There was a talk till recently that Vangaveeti was planning to defect to the Jana Sena Party headed by actor Pawan Kalyan.

He had even met Jana Sena leader Nadendla Manohar at Dindi in East Godavari district and held discussions with him.

He even had images of Pawan Kalyan on the flex boars at the death anniversary of his father Vangaveeti Ranga in Vijayawada held in December last week. His followers also raised slogans in support of Pawan Kalyan.

But suddenly, Vangaveeti took a different turn and returned to the TDP fold. He appeared in the TDP agitation at Benz Circle last week, where TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was arrested for defying police orders. He came to Vundavalli residence of Naidu and met Lokesh there.

He told them that he would continue to sail with the TDP. By participating in the TDP agitation at Mandadam on Tuesday, Vangaveeti displayed his loyalty to the party.
