Even Vijay Deverakonda’s presence wasn’t enough for NOTA to get a good start at the US box office.
The film had a dismal first day at USBO compared to Vijay’s previous film Geetha Govindam.
It grossed around $ 257K on first day (Thursday Premieres + Friday), which is still a lot lesser than Geetha Govindam’s premiere gross ($400K).
NOTA was sold for Rs. 3.5 crore in overseas given the track record of Vijay in this market. Lack of entertainment and elements that impress the youth and families have become a burden for the film to get a promising start.
It is likely to end up below the half million mark going by the word of mouth and reviews.
It will be a huge disaster for Vijay Deverakonda who had scored big hits with Pelli Chupulu, Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam in USA.
Pelli Chupulu went on to gross a million and Arjun Reddy bettered it with over $1.5 Million gross. Geetha Govindam turned out to be one of the biggest hits in the market with $2.5 Million.
