"Pathaan," a Hindi film starring Shah Rukh Khan, is on track to be the highest-grossing Hindi film in North America. With a first-weekend gross of $9.5 million, it's the third-best opener of all Indian films ever.
In three days, the film grossed more than 6.7 million dollars (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
It's the first post-pandemic Indian film to gross $2 million on its first Sunday, a feat not even "RRR" achieved.
Despite regular ticket prices and Shah Rukh Khan's 2008 hit drought, "Pathaan" became a worldwide success.
