"Pathaan" outperformed "RRR" at the box office in the United States. This feat was accomplished in just two weeks. With Monday's earnings, "Pathaan" surpassed "RRR" lifetime earnings of $14.3 million.
In the coming weeks, "Pathaan" is expected to earn another two or three million dollars. It is unlikely to surpass Rajamouli's mega blockbuster "Baahubali 2" in terms of lifetime earnings.
With its ticket sales/footfalls, "Pathaan" has the potential to become the number one hit in the United States.
In the early weeks, both "Baahubali 2" and "RRR" were screened for $20 to $40. While both films grossed more money, the number of people who saw them was significantly lower. "Pathaan," on the other hand, was screened for $12 from the start. So, ticket sales are much higher.
In terms of audience attendance, “Pathaan” is now on its way to becoming the number one hit among Indian films in the United States. However, it remains to be seen what the final lifetime gross of "Pathaan" will be.
The film is a bang average actioner. It did, however, strike a chord with the audience.
