US BO: Dhanush Gets Best Opening with 'Sir'

Dhanush has appeared in both Bollywood and Hollywood films. However, he does not have a huge following in the United States. Despite this, his latest film received a positive response.

Dhanush's film was released in the United States under the titles "Sir" and "Vaathi" in both Telugu and Tamil. However, the Telugu version outperformed the Tamil version. In its first weekend, the film grossed approximately $240k (both versions).

The film did well at the box office because it was produced by GA2 Pictures, a well-known production company.

In contrast, Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" continued to perform well at the box office in the United States even in its fourth week. The film is now on track to gross $17 million.

On the other hand, the new Hindi film, "Shehzada," which is a remake of "Ala Vaikuntapurramlo," was a flop, making only about $300k in its first weekend.
