Small films and content driven movies are turning into huge hits at the US box-office. The audiences in the US love both star-studded movies as well as movies with novel themes. A good trailer and good talk is very important for them.
The massive success of “Arjun Reddy” is best example that audiences are loving content based movies irrespective of the stars.
Rana’s “Nene Raju Nene Mantri” despite getting good talk didn’t go beyond half million dollar mark. Whereas Vijay Devarakonda’s movie reached almost one million dollar mark in its first weekend.
So far, the film collected $950k in its opening weekend, though a final count is yet to be made. A movie collecting one million dollars in the opening weekend means it is a huge blockbuster.

On the other hand, new release “Vivekam” has made least impact at the US box-office. The film grossed below half million dollars.
