BJP leaders believe that the two regional parties in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will vanish after the Lok Sabha elections.
A party leader stated that Chandrababu Naidu's tenure in Andhra Pradesh might come to a complete halt, but if the Telugu Desam Party loses this time, it will face a serious threat to its existence. After the defeat, all remaining TDP leaders are expected to join the BJP, led by Purandeshwari.
BJP leaders assert that Jagan is poised for victory again, and if he fails this time, the survival of the YSR Congress Party will be challenging. They emphasize that regardless of the election outcome for these two parties, the BJP stands to gain. While Jagan has already fostered strong ties with them, Chandrababu is now seeking negotiation.
Turning to Telangana, if the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) underperforms in the Lok Sabha elections and fails to secure a significant number of seats, it could spell the end for the party. Many TRS leaders may opt to join the BJP to safeguard their positions.
In essence, both Telugu parties find themselves in a state of turmoil, facing a do-or-die scenario.
