TTD (Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam) has invited tenders to establish a social media cell within TTD.
The previous board of directors had also proposed setting up a social media cell to keep pace with modern trends. However, this idea was rejected by the then in-charge EO, Dharma Reddy.
Dharma Reddy dismissed the proposal, stating that SVBC channel representatives were sufficient and that a separate social media system was unnecessary.
Consequently, 40 to 50 potential staff members missed out on employment opportunities through social media.
If a social media cell had been established within TTD, it could have actively worked to protect the reputation of Tirumala.
The absence of a system to counter negative stories about TTD in other media proved to be a setback for the government.
Now, the coalition government has decided to implement the previous administration’s plan to establish a social media cell, which is expected to provide employment to some TDP supporters over the next five years.
This move to set up a social media cell in TTD demonstrates how swiftly the coalition government is working to protect its interests and support its people.
The YSRCP government’s failure to pursue this kind of ideas also has contributed to a significant loss in the elections.
