TRS Using BJP To Trap Kodandaram?

Telangana Rashtra Samithi is said to be trying to cash in on the disgruntlement in the Telangana Jana Samithi headed by Prof M Kodandaram over the inordinate delay by the Congress party in concluding the seat sharing for Maha Kootami or grand alliance.

It is an open secret that if the TJS comes out of the alliance, the biggest beneficiary would be the TRS in the elections.

All said and done, Kodandaram is a potential threat to the TRS and in every constituency, he has the capacity to get at least 5,000 votes, if not more.

In the event of the formalization of grand alliance, Kodandaram can upset the TRS applecart in many constituencies. Readmore!

According to reports doing rounds in a section of media, the TRS leadership is learnt to have sought the help of the Bharatiya Janata Party in luring Kodandaram for an alliance, if the TJS walks out of the Maha Kootami.

It is learnt the BJP leaders have already laid the bait to Kodandaram that if he comes out of the alliance, the saffron party was ready to give at least 30 MLA seats to the TJS.

What is more, the BJP is said to be ready to allocate prominent seats to the TJS. And these seats are those where the Congress has fair chances of winning.

If Kodanda’s party contests the elections, it will eat into the Congress votes and the TRS can scrape through with victory even with a slender margin.

While the BJP will get the benefit from the TJS, the latter, too, can win a few seats. But the ultimate win will be that of the TRS.

May be in the coming days, KCR will patch up with Kodandaram and offer him bigger positions in the government!

The only doubt in this entire scenario is whether Kodanda, a Leftist to the core, will join hands with the BJP just for the sake of a few seats.

After all, he is not a fool to remain blind to the fact that his alliance with the BJP will ultimately benefit the TRS!
