Nani's Gang Leader had a fairly decent first weekend at the box office despite below average to average reports.
However, the film's collections witnessed a huge drop on its first Monday and the trend continued on Tuesday. This is not a good sign with two movies lined up for release on this Friday.

Gang Leader is arguably the weakest film of Vikram Kumar to date. The director who is known for innovative ideas and screenplay has tried to make a movie that appeals to wider section of audience and clearly proved that this is not his cup of tea.
The woes of Mythri Movie Makers hasn't ended with Gang Leader as they are still struggling to find a way out of the hole that they had dug into with mid-range movies.
They are yet to deliver a clean hit post Rangasthalam, which went on to become Non-Baahubali industry hit. Their maiden production Srimanthudu was also a Non-Baahubali industry hit at that time.
