Mythri Movie Makers are leaving no stone unturned to create maximum buzz around Rangasthalam.
Promotions of the film have been impressive as it is setting right expectations on the film. However, despite their best efforts, the film is not creating much buzz across the trade circles.
Owing to Sukumar’s track record and his weakness over making movies that appeal to the masses, buyers from Andhra and Ceded are not coming up with attractive offers.
Producers are looking to sell Andhra rights in Rs. 34 crore ratio, but the bids till now are ranging below Rs. 25 crore. The film is not able to grab the attention of Ceded buyers too.
A private party came forward to grab Nizam rights for a fancy price, but they had reportedly stepped back after recent box office disasters.
Rangasthalam is looking like an offbeat film from its look and promos. Hero playing a deaf and heroine looking de-glam is restricting buyers to come up with lucrative offers.
Sukumar’s previous film Nannaku Prematho was a failure in local market and 1 Nenokkadine was an outright disaster. That is the reason why buyers are not keen on betting big on the film.
But the budget of the film has overshot and the producers can’t risk selling it for fewer prices. Therefore they are planning to release it through Geetha, UV and Dil Raju if the buyers are not within their expected range.
