The actor recently opened up about this decision, saying it was not due to financial issues but a conscious lifestyle choice.
Having started his journey in Mumbai with just â¹37, Kher said he never wanted to be driven purely by money.
He revealed that after struggling to find the “perfect house” for years, he eventually realised it wasn’t worth the effort.
Instead, he chose a simpler life, believing that staying in a rented home keeps him grounded and free from unnecessary complications.
Kher also shared a personal moment about fulfilling his mother’s dream by buying her a house in Shimla. Though she preferred a modest home, he went a step further and purchased a bigger property for her.
Reflecting on life, the actor spoke about how chasing wealth never ends and how failures help shape a person’s growth and creativity.
