Top 5: Hollywood Tsunami On Indian Box Office

1. Avatar- The Way Of Water: This Hollywood release shook the world box office this week with housefull collections in many centers.

The film was patronized by the young audience and it ended up making a huge collection in the first three days. So far the makers claim that the film made a whopping US$485 Million gross collection from across the world.

Estimates say that the film made a collection of more than Rs 100 Cr at the Indian box office in the first three days itself.

By the end of first weekend the film made $434.5M globally and $300.5M comes from the international box office. Readmore!

2. HIT 2: This film starring Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Choudary is just running in a couple of theatres. The film had enough pre-release hype as it's from a successful franchise and Nani being its producer.

The openings were pretty good and the talk was also very positive. Though expected big wonders at the box office, the film made Rs 35 Cr from the theatres which is more than three times of the making cost.

3. Sasanasabha: The film made as a political drama failed to attract the attention of the audience and finally ended up as a flop.

The trailer looked promising but the traction at the theatre was poor and the word of mouth didnt help the film.

In spite of the presence of an actor like Rajendra Prasad, and the story being a tug of war between a Chief Minister and a lady political opponent, it failed to garner theatrical collection.

4. Love Today: The film that rocked in Tamil has come on to the Telugu screen. It outdid many of the other existing straight films initially but slowed down very fast in the subsequent days.

Though this film scored a hit in Telugu, it couldn't repeat the same wonder as it did in Tamil Nadu. The patronage for this film has almost come to an end with the effect of Avatar2.

5. Gurtunda Seetakalam: This new release from last week ended up as a disaster. Though the Tamannah factor pulled the audience to theatres to a small extent, the word of mouth publicity marred the film miserably.

The collections were pitiful and even on the day one majority of the theatres failed to make impressive collections. The full run of this film ended very fast.
