1. DJ Tillu: This film starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Neha Shetty stood on the top list of this week. Targeting the urban youth audience this film directed by Vimal Krishna is received as a nonstop comedy entertainer by the crowds.
Following the genre of Jathiratnalu, the film pulled the attention of the audience this weekend. It is to be seen if this saga continues in the second week as well.
2. Khiladi: Released amidst some expectations this big star film toppled at the box office as miserable failure. Though the openings were impressive, the collections dropped in the afternoon itself.
The mouth publicity for the film is so bad that it declared a disaster on the same day. This is the biggest flop from Ravi Teja after the successful Krack last year.
3. FIR: This fast paced thriller from the Tamil film industry starring Vishnu Vishal, Manjima Mohan and Gautham Vasudev Menon in the direction of Manu Anand stood up as one of the best films this week content wise. But the traction from the audience is very less due to the lack of publicity.
The bottom-line is that this film taut and racy as a narrative but dull and lazy as per collections.
4. Sehari: This is another unsung movie of the week. Releasing amidst a big film and a youth entertainer, this failed to pull the attention of the audience.
The openings were poor and the subsequent performance is poorer. But the set of audience whoever watched it hardly gave any negative report.
Harsh and Simran Chaudhary played the leads while Gnanasagar directed the film.
5. Samanyudu: The film starring Vishal and Dimple Hayathi is the dubbed version of Veeramae Vaagai Soodum. Though the openings are reasonably good, it couldn't garner the positive word of mouth publicity.
Finally the film failed to pull the traction for subsequent shows. This is directed by Saravavan and the majority audience called this a predictable narrative with contrived stuff but not a nail biting or gripping film.
