In recent media interviews, Thaman confirmed his contribution to the background score for Pushpa 2: The Rule, stating that he worked on the first half of the film.
"Due to a lack of sufficient time, I was unable to provide a background score for the entire movie," he explained.
He also clarified that the second half is being re-recorded by Devi Sri Prasad along with other musicians.
Sources indicate that Kannada composer B. Ajaneesh Loknath, known for his work in Kantara, is contributing to parts of the second half and assisting Devi Sri Prasad in completing the score.
The team aims to finalize the work by the 21st of this month to prepare the film for censorship next week.
With a scheduled release date of December 5, the Pushpa 2 team is working against the clock to wrap up post-production.
Meanwhile, the film's trailer is set to launch tomorrow in Patna.
