This Film Triggers Release Trouble for Lenin Again

The release date of Peddi, starring Ram Charan, now appears to be firmly locked.

Director Buchi Babu recently confirmed at a film event that the movie will hit theatres on June 25, putting an end to speculation about further delays.

This development has put the makers of Lenin in a tricky situation.

The Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse starrer had earlier shifted its release from May 1 to June 25 to avoid a clash with Peddi, which was initially scheduled for April 30. Readmore!

With Peddi now occupying the June 25 slot, Lenin is once again forced to rethink its release strategy.

Producers Nagarjuna and Naga Vamsi are currently weighing their options—whether to prepone the release or push it to July. However, the final decision will largely depend on finalising the film’s OTT deal.

In most cases, OTT platforms play a key role in suggesting optimal release windows, and Lenin’s team is expected to lock a new date only after closing the digital rights agreement.
