The Father And Son Politics In Telugu States

The two Telugu states are witnessing a different kind of politics for the past some time. It is about the father and the son and the two states have these couples.

While Telangana has the father (KCR) as the chief minister and son (KTR) as the minister, Andhra Pradesh too has similar politics.

The father (CBN) was the chief minister and the son (Lokesh) too was the Minister.

The two fathers were the chief ministers of the two states after the 2014 bifurcation. Readmore!

While the son in Telangana became a cabinet minister immediately after the father became the chief minister, it took two years for the father in Andhra Pradesh to make his son a minister in his cabinet.

The father and the son have won the second subsequent election and are now heading for the third election. It is to be seen whether they would make a hat-trick or not.

But, the father and the son in Andhra Pradesh have lost their second election in 2019. Though the father had retained his MLA seat, the son lost it too.

They are now testing their time ahead of the third subsequent election.

The father and the son in Telangana proved their success and the son is heading to take over both the party and the government from the father.

This might happen either immediately after the next election or a little later.

In Andhra Pradesh, the combination of the father and the son failed. The son had lost the confidence of the party workers in particular and the people in general.

Though the son dreams of taking over the reins of the party from his father in Andhra Pradesh, there are not many to believe the son’s abilities here!

While the two fathers in the two Telugu states have proved their track record and remembered as the successful politicians, there is some difference on the capabilities of the sons.

The son in Telangana is a proven leader today in many aspects, while the son in Andhra Pradesh is yet to prove himself.
