Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has opened up about her married life with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, describing their bond as deeply close-knit—even beyond what many would call the honeymoon phase.
Samantha and Raj tied the knot in December last year in an intimate ceremony held in Coimbatore, attended by close family and friends.
In a recent interview with Vogue, Samantha spoke candidly about their relationship and how inseparable they have become.
Laughing about their togetherness, she said, “Raj and I really are that irritating couple that does everything together.”
She explained that they work together, spend their free time together and even work out as a team with their fitness trainer, Paridhi. “And we love it,” she added.
Samantha also shared that she still finds it difficult to be away from Raj, even for a single day.
Dismissing the idea that this closeness is just a phase, she said too much time has passed for it to be labelled as a honeymoon period.
Reflecting on her personal journey, Samantha spoke about how her outlook on relationships changed after her divorce.
“When I went through a separation, I closed up completely. I didn’t think it would ever be possible to rely on someone else,” she said.
She added that allowing herself to be vulnerable again helped her rediscover love, friendship and emotional security.
“I’m a much better person because of the relationship I’m in, because of the person Raj is,” she noted.
She also recalled a recent meeting with an old friend, who later sent her a voice note saying it was the first time in a long while that Samantha didn’t seem like she was “struggling to breathe.”
“I’m not performing anymore,” the actor said, hinting at the emotional peace she now feels.
The couple’s wedding was conducted according to the Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha tradition, a yogic consecration process believed to create a deep elemental bond between partners.
The ritual focuses on harmony, balance and spiritual alignment as couples begin their life together.
Samantha’s reflections have resonated with many fans, offering a rare, honest glimpse into her personal healing and the strong partnership she now shares with Raj Nidimoru.
