The Election Commission of India on Monday sounded the poll bugle for the assembly elections in Telangana, along with four other states – Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
As per the schedule announced by chief election commissioner Rajiv Kumar, the elections to the Telangana assembly will be held on November 30 and the results will be declared on December 3.
The notification for the elections will be issued on November 3 and the last date for nominations will be November 10. The scrutiny of nominations will be done on November 13 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations will be November 15.
The polling will be held on November 30 in a single schedule for all the 119 assembly constituencies in the state and the results will be declared on December 3. The entire polling process will be completed by December 5.
The elections in Madhya Pradesh will be held on November 17, Rajasthan on November 23, Chhattisgarh in two phases – on November 7 and November 17 and Mizoram on November 7. The results will be declared for all the five states together on December 3.
