Telangana BJP hope to get boost with Modi visit

As the elections to Telangana state assembly are fast approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party is once again looking up to the magic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to win and come to power.

Apparently realising that the BJP is facing a crisis of sorts with defection of leaders into the Congress, Modi has decided to come to Telangana regularly address as many public meeting as possible to rejuvenate the party cadre and attract the people.

As part of that Modi will be on a day’s visit to Telangana on July 8 to take part in a couple of official events. The Telangana BJP has also decided to make the best use of his visit to attract the voters.

According to the party sources, the Prime Minister will lay foundation stone for the railway wagon overhauling centre at Kazipet in Hanamkonda district and also a mega textile park at Warangal. Readmore!

“Later, Modi will address a huge public meeting at Warangal for which the BJP is making all arrangements,” sources said.

He is expected to have a brief interaction with senior BJP leaders of the party and give them a direction on how to go about with the strengthening of the party ahead of the coming assembly elections in Telangana.

Meanwhile, the BJP high command announced postponement of the meeting BJP presidents of 11 states to be held under the auspices of BJP national president J P Nadda at Hyderabad on July 8, in the wake of the Prime Minister’s visit, the statement said.
