TDP's Kollu Ravindra Arrested In Machilipatnam

The AP police have arrested TDP leader and former minister Kollu Ravindra at Machilipatnam on Thursday. The TDT leader was arrested for assaulting a police officer in the town during the municipal elections on the previous day.

Ravindra, a first time MLA in 2014 was inducted into cabinet by Chandrababu Naidu on caste equations.Though Naidu dropped many after two years, he retained Ravindra in the cabinet as he belonged to the fishermen community.

Ravindra's induction  into the 2014 TDP cabinet was a big surprise like his father-in-law's induction in the past.Ravindra's father-in-law Nadakuditi Narasimha Rao too was a first time MLA when he was picked up by Naidu in 1998.

However, Narasimha Rao remained non-controvercial in politics, Ravindra is accused of even murder conspiracies on rivals. He was arrested early 2020 in a murder case and was in jail for a coupe of months.  Readmore!

Later, he was also accused as conspirator in a murder attempt on his rival and minister Perni Nani, late in 2020.Again during polling in Machilipatnam on March 10, Ravindra is accused of manhandling a police officer and subsequently arrested.

A soft-spoken leader for outsIders, it wonders why and how Ravindra could be so ferocious and viloent against his opponents!
