TDP pins hopes on BJP on Amaravati

It looks like the TDP is pinning all its hopes on BJP leadership to stop Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy from shifting capital from Amaravati.

The party is fighting on the streets to retain the capital, mostly to save the investors who have purchased lands on the promise of Chandrababu Naidu to multiply the land prices.

There were dozens of investors, including the NRIs, who rallied for Chandrababu Naidu in the last five years, doing everything for him including the digital campaign.

They mobilised investors for all the three investment meetings held by Naidu in Visakhapatnam. They mobilised the national media to project Naidu’s plans in a grand way. Readmore!

The investors and the NRIs stood firmly behind Naidu in selling the Amaravati bonds.

The bonds were oversubscribed in just one hour after it was listed in the Bombay Stock Exchange and it was claimed as a record.

They made everything that Naidu did as global record and in turn, Naidu tried to help them with the prime lands in the capital.

Now, with the change of government and the new chief minister planning to shift the capital, the investments have no meaning. They don’t even get back whatever they have invested there, forget about the profits.

With the investors mounting pressure on him and also his family personally investing in the name of Heritage group, Naidu and most of the TDP leaders are looking at the BJP to stop Jaganmohan Reddy from shifting the capital.

TDP senior leader Payyavula Keshav, had made an open appeal to the BJP leaders to retain capital in Amaravati.

The leadership of the BJP, including Kanna Lakshminarayana and the new ally, Jana Sena, are exploring various possibilities to prevail upon the BJP national leadership to keep a check on Jaganmohan Reddy.

But, the big question is will the BJP national leadership interfere with the State government’s decision?
